“We buy things we don’t need, with money we don’t have, to impress people we don’t like.”
At some point in our lives most of us end up in this predicament and actually it’s OK, sort of.We get caught up in this dream of having to “keep up with the Jones’s” and we end up in financial troubles as well as unhappiness. The saddest thing to me out of this is the unhappiness. Everyone deserves to be happy and to see someone taking their own happiness away because they think they need to buy materialistic things in order to impress others upsets me. Everyone should be accepted as they are, end of story. If someone is going to be judged on anything is should be on how genuine they are and if they are kind or not.
The only reason I say it’s okay to end up in this situation is because sometimes we need to hit rock bottom before we can make ourselves happy. We need to end up in these terrible situations before we can sit back and realize that we need to stop trying to make others happy and we need to start making ourselves happy because life is too short.
