This past summer my husband and I took a very eccentric vacation that I’m still not sure how I feel about. We flew into Las Vegas for one night and spent the following day driving through Death Valley to Disneyland. We spent a few days in Disneyland, and then drove back to Las Vegas where we spent another couple of days before returning home. I am so thankful we got to experience this trip that included my favorite part of the trip, Death Valley.
On our multiple hour trip through Death Valley I couldn’t help but think about how beautiful everything looked. The juxtaposition of the arid desert against the mountain range had me awe struck. There was nothing around for miles yet I still could sense life all around me in the bareness; it was just a different form of life than most people are use to.
Here are some pictures that I took along the way to document this unique trip.
“Some people look at the desert and see nothing, yet a blind person could smell it and have the greatest vision of all.”
