The more items I get rid of, the more free I feel. I don’t feel attached to anything and I don’t need things to speak on my behalf. I have a lot more to say than a designer purse can say for me.
Stop trying to figure life out and just live it. Accept the moments you cannot change and learn to be okay with the unknown future. Sometimes the most unexpected surprises in life bring us more joy than the things we know are coming.
When you have developed a true love for yourself accepting all of your flaws and mistakes then it doesn’t matter what anyone says or thinks about you. As long as you love yourself for everything you have to offer and accept yourself for all of your imperfections, flaws, and mistakes you will know freedom. Remember, you are always with yourself. You wake up with yourself, you spend all day with yourself, and you go to bed with yourself- there is no running away. You need to learn to love the person you are because you are beautiful and you will do beautiful things.
Recently I have come to the realization that I don’t have many friends, and that’s okay. I found that I don’t have the time right now to nurture so many different relationships at once. Jobs, immediate family members, pets, my spiritual and religious beliefs, and myself are my top priorities in life. Taking care of myself and establishing a relationship with myself is the most important thing to me. If I don’t take time to love myself, I won’t ever grow into the person I want to be. Then, when I do find myself taking on more friendships in the future, I want to be able to give those people 100% of the real me and the not the me I want to eventually become. I’m taking this time to enjoy my own company and become the best version of myself I can be, and that’s okay.
“I have to be alone very often. I’d be quite happy if I spent from Saturday night until Monday morning alone in my apartment. That’s how I refuel.” – Audrey Hepburn
Don’t spend your whole live trying to be better than other people. You aren’t living their lives; you are not them. Their story is completely different than yours. Spend your life trying to be a better person today than you were yesterday, and an even better person tomorrow than you will be today.
I am thankful for all of the difficult people I have met on my journey. They have shown me exactly who I don’t want to be.
Inhale all of your insecurities, worries troubles, and anxiety.
Hold it for 7 seconds.
In this time period, as you count from 1 to 7, focus on your heartbeat. Realize that as you count your heart continues to beat. It’s not stopping just because your having a bad day or feel like you will have an anxiety attack. It continues to beat because it wants you to keep going.
Your heart is telling you that you are stronger than whatever is trying to bring you down. Just like your heart continues to beat, you should continue to move on.
Now, exhale all of your worries and keep on.
